Portuguese company Agrocate leverages its growth potential through investment by ActiveCap – Capital Partners

ActiveCap – Capital Partners (“ActiveCap”), through the ActiveCap II – Portuguese Growth Fund (“ActiveCap II”), has completed its investment in Agrocate, Lda (“Agrocate”), a company dedicated to avocado production, increasingly prominent in the Portuguese business landscape.

With several plantations between Faro and Vila Real de Santo António, Agrocate currently manages over 300 hectares of avocado crops, in a ramp-up phase, having planted new hectares consecutively over the past eight years. The company already produces more than 2,000 tons of avocados, with almost all of its production destined for export.

All production benefits from the excellent soil and climatic conditions of the Algarve, and Agrocate’s management team has sustained continuous growth through investment in technology and adoption of best sustainability practices, optimizing production and export processes.

The investment from the ActiveCap II fund will enable the company to capitalize on its growth potential by expanding planted areas and increasing productivity of existing plantations. Additionally, commercial, production, and R&D opportunities will be explored.
