Portuguese group Tintex strengthens focus on innovation and expansion through investment by ActiveCap – Capital Partners

ActiveCap – Capital Partners (“ActiveCap”), through the ActiveCap I – Portuguese Growth Fund (“ActiveCap I”), has completed its investment in Tintex – Textiles, a Portuguese company recognized in the knitting and textile finishing sector, through a capital increase.

Since its foundation in 1998, the Tintex Group has established itself in the national and international market as a specialist in textile enhancement. The company focuses on knitting and finishing, offering its own collections for fashion as well as products designed for technical textiles, with projects that have received international awards.

The family-owned group, now led by the second generation, possesses extensive industry know-how and a highly advanced machinery park. It demonstrates strong export capabilities and a prestigious client base, while pioneering initiatives that promote compliance with environmental and sustainability standards.

The investment from the ActiveCap I fund aims primarily to enable entry into new market segments and the development of new products, areas in which Tintex has already started to make strides, serving as a growth catalyst in this new investment cycle.

“The ActiveCap investment in Tintex’s capital reflects the company’s growth potential in the short, medium, and long term and strengthens its leadership position in the global textile market. The shared values, vision, and strategic orientation between the two parties not only facilitated this transaction but will also drive Tintex to a new level of corporate excellence.”
— Pedro Silva, Board Member and Head of Communication & Corporate Affairs, Tintex

“For several years, we have observed Tintex’s growth and the initiatives implemented by its management to support this evolution. The continuous innovation in textile products, the systematic focus on process improvement and sustainability, combined with the ambition to keep growing and excelling, were decisive factors for this investment. We are proud that ActiveCap is partnering with this team to unlock Tintex’s potential and significantly increase its national and international activity.”
— Pedro Correia da Silva, Managing Partner, ActiveCap
